Thank you for taking the time to read this, as I am working diligently to re-establish and revitalize the Nome Chamber of Commerce. Throughout this journey, I’ve often been asked about the benefits of Chamber membership. I’d like to take this opportunity to outline some of the key advantages.
One significant benefit of being a Chamber member is the exposure and connection provided through the Visitor Center in Nome. The Visitor Center serves guests, visitors, transient employees, and community members, offering substantial opportunities for visibility. As a Chamber member, your business will be featured in our Visitor Guide, which is distributed throughout Nome and across the state. This guide reaches 20,000–30,000 people in print annually, with an additional 60,000 views through our digital version. Additionally, I’m collaborating with state tourism agencies to enhance Nome’s online presence and drive more traffic to the region.
I’m also partnering with the Chamber board to revive the Member Enrichment Program. This program offers local business owners and entrepreneurs opportunities to learn from industry leaders, share ideas, and access valuable resources. Chamber membership also connects you to small business mentors, courses, information on group health insurance, and other services designed to support your business growth.
Another exciting aspect of the Chamber is the variety of events we host throughout the year. One highlight is the Community Potluck held during the Serum Run Anniversary celebration. Community and collaboration are at the heart of what we do, and I’m thrilled about the opportunities ahead for our members and our region.
Finally, I invite you to join the Chamber to share your voice, expertise, and experience. The more members we have, the stronger our community becomes as ambassadors for Nome and advocates for small businesses.

- Online: Visit www.VisitNomeAlaska.com and navigate to the Chamber link for membership information. While on the site, take a moment to review the Chamber directory and ensure your listing under “Things to Do” is accurate. If corrections are needed, please use the attached form to update your details.
- By Mail: Print the application form and send it via USPS with a check or money order to:

- In Person: Stop by the Chamber office, conveniently located in the post office building.
